One Month Living in The Country of Ottoman Sultanate - Turkey

Hello, my name is Cici Enjelia Nata, a medical student of Syiah Kuala University. It is a tremendous honor for me to be one of the participants of the SCOPE Exchange Program. For me, going to Turkey was a once in a lifetime opportunity getting to experience so many different things. One month that I spent as an exchange student was by far the best one month of my life. I meet many amazing new people and supportive host family, which has given me great memories. Moreover, this exchange program gave me a picture of the variation in foreign health care services, the typical case or disease in Turkey, and how the treatment of that case. These outcomes will genuinely give a new insight into advancing the Indonesian Healthcare System from the part of medical technologies or human resources.

There are various reasons that you have to join the exchange program. Firstly is the opportunity to gain international experience, study, live, and have a good time with other international students will broaden our horizon and enable to build friendships with other students from all over the world. Study abroad seems like the perfect opportunity to meet a completely different culture, learn another language, experience other educational systems, and enrich our curriculum vitae, as well as gain more independence. I feel like people need to take opportunities like this exchange to go out of their comfort zone a little bit. But, most of all, take the chance and time to learn how to have independence and immerse yourself in a different and challenging situation. Too many things to be able to write in one small letter, so go out and experience it for yourself! Besides, how do you know who you indeed are? If you haven’t gone out and seen all the possibilities of who you could be.
